Vlog & Video: Crying, Laughing, and Back Flips

As we fall faster and faster toward the winter season, I can’t help but need a reprieve from the day-to-day grind that is “adult life.” And so it’s time again for me to share with you some of my favourite videos from around the web. I try to keep things varied and interesting, sometimes even provocative (when occasion calls for it), and this week’s selection is no different. From a talking shell (wearing shoes), to a dance ninja, to a therapy dog that will reduce you to tears, this week’s videos have something for everyone.

MARCEL THE SHELL
This two minute short featuring a talking snail shell is the feel good, quirky YouTube video of the month. No question—it will cheer up your day and put a smile on your face.

MAD SKILLZ
As a little boy, I always aspired to be a ninja. Of course, being a ninja requires the dexterity and athleticism of a super gymnast, which is not really something I can lay claim to. Damien Walters, on the other hand, is a horse of a whole other colour. What I would give to move like him.

DANCE NINJA
Speaking of ninjas and horses of whole other colours, this is something completely different while still entirely related. That, and it’s pretty damn funny.

CRYING FOR PUPPIES
I have a considerable soft spot for dogs. Many people do, I guess, and if you’re one of those many, you may want to grab a kleenex before watching this next video. “Moments with Baxter” gives us a brief look at the life and work of Baxter, a remarkable therapy dog.

Vlog & Video is a rotating segment where I post a new Vlog for two weeks of every month; during the other two weeks, I post and comment on my favourite videos from around the web.  Please leave a comment or question—all opinions are welcome, and all contributions are greatly appreciated.
