**Breaking for the holidays; new posts begin January 3rd, 2012
It’s Christmas time! That’s right—while it’s not too often that I use an exclamation mark, I think this holiday season warrants such grammatical excesses. After all, Christmas is one of the best times of year. Okay, I know—we all hate the shopping, the crowds, and the inevitable pounds we’ll gain eating numerous Christmas dinners. Still, there is fun to be had and family to visit and good food to eat. And that sounds pretty good to me. Here are some of my favourite videos from around the web to help lighten the load and put your mind at ease, and just in time for Santa.
Like I said, Christmas is a great time of year, and there’s only one thing that could make it better. And that, my friends, is puppies. Don’t believe me? Watch this video and see for yourself.
I’ll just cut to the chase—I’ve never been a fan of The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Yes, they have put out a few good songs. On the whole, however, I find their music to be fairly repetitive. And so this video, “Every Red Hot Chili Peppers Song Ever,” makes me grin and nod my head in agreement. Feel free to disagree with me.
I’m way too young to have any idea of what it must feel like to learn that you’re about to be a grandparent. Hell, I don’t have any kids of my own yet. Still, this reaction video is a lot of fun, especially the one dad’s reaction.
Most of you know that I’m a movie lover. Artsy or mainstream—it doesn’t matter. I love it all. And so when somebody does a video essay on director Steven Spielberg and examines a technique in Spielberg’s work that I’d never really paid much attention to, I can’t help but be captivated.
Vlog & Video is a rotating segment where I post a new Vlog for two weeks of every month; during the other two weeks, I post and comment on my favourite videos from around the web. Please leave a comment or question—all opinions are welcome, and all contributions are greatly appreciated. If you like what you read here, please subscribe.
Great job. I especially loved the puppies. I bet Sara did too! By the way, Happy Birthday!
